let the festivities commence

i'm so glad my roommates are as freakishly obsessed with christmas as i am. we all ditched the mountains of end-of-semester homework looming on all sides of us, threatening to close in and suffocate us so we could decorate and watch white christmas. i feel asleep because i'm a baby. but seriously- there are some wack attack parts in that movie. what is up with that sisters song? and the one dancer sister is ugly as sin. something about her face is just off. at one point jill was worried we would see the man's underwear when he was changing to which alex replied, "that's why there's a strategically placed box there- so we don't see bing crosby's junk." thank god for that one.

we're having a cookie baking day next week! and going to new york another day for adventures! and making stockings! and gifts! and completely ignoring that noble pursuit of higher education/the whole reason we're here in the first place! there is hot chocolate to drink and papers to ignore. i'm pumped.

  1. So I'm thinking that when we go to NYC we need to stop at:
    1) city bakery for their famous hot chocolate
    2) Macy's to look in the store windows
    3) MAYBE Manhattan Mall to get our photo with Santa
    4) the SoHo area for beauteous store browsing [TopShop, Girl Props, Ricky's, Uni Qlo etc.]
    5)Rockefeller Center tree viewing (if it's up) and possible ice skating?
    6) MAYBE a trip to Williamsburg for some hipster culture and not so cheap thrifting, but a lovely atmosphere

    We can pretty much play it all by ear. I know that Mercedes isn't going to want to go to Brooklyn or do much traveling in general so we can do votes.

  3. 1. I love your decor. Mary forgot our tree so we have yet to put it up.
    2. Keiran is mean. Firstly, I'm not going. If I was, I would want to go all over. Sheesh.
    3. I feel so warm and cozy now that we've watched The Santa Clause!
