tragedy is having no computer.
it is also finding out that your broken computer needs to be taken to places only accessible by public transportation, the day that all the public transportation stops running due to a strike. this could also be classified as irony.
i honestly did not know what to do with myself last night.
i would walk into my room and instinctively go to my desk only to remember that my computer is not working. i'm so used to checking my email and faces&spaces and the blogosphere every time i enter into my room. it was so odd. i tried to do other things. i did some dishes. drank two cups of tea. french braided my hair. called my mom. texted people who clearly did not want to be texted. watched a show i would not normally watch. folded all my fabric again. went to bed early. it was a night without notifications or inboxes or comments. utterly amish.
as much as i miss my computer i feel like i'm going to make the most of the time i have while it's out of comission. i'm going to try to be very productive since i won't be sitting around getting lost in design sponge and etsy gift guides.
i'm going to:
- sew two new dresses
- walk to the city to buy tights and shoes
- plan out my interships for the spring/summer
- plan all my trips
- plan study abroad
- cook
- get a head start on my film paper
hopefully that'll keep me busy. maybe i'll even start to work on my christmas stuff. what would you do oh dear five people who read my blog? i need suggestions to keep me busy.

i always should be doing homework, but instead, i am here, typing on your blog, when, in fact, i have an entire painting due tomorrow.
ReplyDeletei am so screwed.
but, i've been making very pretty things otherwise!
like today, i made yet another website. it's interactive! and so terribly full of kitchy goodness. i wish you could see it. but, you're amish.
i miss you. i love you.
Here's what you do:
ReplyDelete1. buy baking and shipping supplies
2. compile and combine said baking ingredients in a manner that would procure baked goods, preferably of the delicious variety
3. assemble these freshly baked things into a package of some sort: this is where the shipping supplies come in handy.
4. ship this package to my address.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 on a daily basis.
This should keep you occupied.
love you. miss you. bunches and bunches.
let's plan our spring break trip! we can use my computer for details or just figure that out later. also it's 12ish... city now?
